“Keep going and keep growing, for you have witnessed that it is possible,” Marynet Bernazar, CCSD Deputy Chief of Human Resources, Chief of Recruitment/Retention, Development and Business Processes, congratulated the graduates at the ceremony.
The PPP and A-ARL provide CCSD substitutes and support professionals, who currently work in the District the opportunity to receive proper teaching credentials in one year and with all tuition costs covered. This incentive encourages District employees to help bring more teachers into the classrooms and provides growth opportunities. Both the PPP and the A-ARL educational pathways for CCSD staff are made possible through ESSER III funding.
The program has evolved quickly since its inception with only 36 students in the first cohort to more than 245 CCSD substitutes and support staff professionals participating. The program will welcome nearly 300 more aspiring educators on May 15 for the next round of cohorts.
